ROYSTON
Formed in May 2005, we are a mixed group of about 14 people, age range 40-80 who meet to read for pleasure and to try authors that we would not normally choose! We meet at Royston Library on the last Wednesday of each month at 10.00am Discussions can last from an hour to an hour and a half. They are always lively!
At the moment we have concentrated on adult fiction but hope to progress to non-fiction such as biographies and poetry as they become available to us.
We are a very informal group and no-one is under any pressure to talk! We also have tea/coffee and biscuits to help proceedings along the way ( last month our meeting was wine fuelled!)
We are at the moment awaiting news of our first ever bid for the Co-op Community Fund which will enable us to buy books for our group and for use by other book groups.
