PENISTONEThis Readers Group, the first to be formed in Barnsley Libraries, has
been running for nearly six years.We meet once a fortnight on Monday afternoons from 2.00-3.30pm. Discussions are enthusiastic, friendly and stimulating- we read anything from classics to children's books- recently we re-read Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird and also enjoyed Jacqueline Wilson's children's stories.
The group has received various grants which have enabled us to
buy books and audiocassettes- this means that membership can be offered to a wider audience.
